After spending over two decades working in the travel industry, Prasad realized that pre-set itineraries did not suit everyone. He set up Stars & Maple Holidays, inspired by the idea of designing sustainable tours for travelers who wanted a unique experience, one that was personal and meaningful to them. The Stars & Maple Holidays team goes out of their way to find the best available deals and ensure that every minute detail is taken care of, while itineraries are tailored to individual interests and specific needs.

Prasad Gopinath

Founder & President at Stars & Maple Holidays

With an avid interest in travel, Prasad Gopinath dove into the travel industry right after graduating college in 1980. Since then, he has handled varied roles and responsibilities with leading travel players across the world, working with people of various nationalities. This rich experience gave Prasad a deep understanding of travelers, destinations, and what makes a difference in travel, which was instrumental when he founded Stars & Maple Holidays.

Prasad brings over 38 years of experience to the business as Founder and President of Stars & Maple Holidays. He is responsible for setting the overall direction and product strategy to maintain Stars & Maple Holidays’ position as North America’s leading destination management company and curator of tour packages. As the company continues to innovate and grow, Prasad works to ensure that Stars & Maple Holidays retains the culture of operational excellence and superior customer service that sets it apart.

Our partners

Our partners include top hotel chains in North America, such as the Fairmont, Marriott, Choice and Wyndham franchises, and leading independent hotels in the Canadian Rockies. We have also forged ties with major Admissions and Tour partners, Amtrak, VIA Rail, and the Rocky Mountaineer, as well as the best Tour Coach Operators in North America. Developed and nurtured over the years, these relationships have resulted in our enjoying preferred rates and special access to inventories with our partners.
